Lyndall Fry
My earliest memory of my father painting is of him standing in our
garage set up with a board and an assortment of paints, mostly browns
and some yellows; some were simply house paints as these were at
hand. A special gift to him from us kids was a tube of reds or blues to
add to his pallet of colors.
He describes himself as a colorist, using rich colors to create
breathtaking impressions in his abstract landscapes. I have always
admired his work even when limited to browns and yellows.
Throughout his life, my father worked in more traditional roles. His
painting remained a personal interest rather than a career goal. As he
once said, “I did it as a pastime with no intention of ever becoming a
professional artist…In a way art found me rather than me finding art.”
About Me
I attained my undergraduate degree in psychology and went on to acquire my masters degree in industrial organizational psychology. With a passion for making a positive impact, I’ve accumulated valuable experience as a behavioral therapist working with autistic children. In addition to my role as a behavioral therapist I’ve dedicated time to tutoring. Together with my husband, we identified diverse opportunities within child care and the educational system. Motivated by a shared commitment to addressing various needs in these areas, we’re actively exploring how our skills and insights can contribute to creating positive educational environments and support systems.
